Exclusive rum experience brings the best of Jamaica to Calgary

Back by popular demand, Modern Steak Rooftop (100 8 Ave S.E) is pleased to host this one-of-a-kind experience with Appleton Estate Rum and Joy Spence Master Blender on June 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a taste of Jamaica with expertly crafted cocktails featuring Appleton Estate Double Cask Rum and four-courses of Jamaican-inspired dishes that will make you feel like you’re on the island.

The menu starts off with mini beef patties from Calgary’s popular Lloyds Caribbean Bakery paired with the Tiki Me To Paradise cocktail. The first course is a Smoked Marlin Dip with Melba Toast paired with a delicious Call Me Colada. The second course is a Jerk Pork Belly with Grilled Plantain paired with a tasty Down-by-the-Bay Cocktail. The third course includes a Benchmark Tenderloin, Caribbean Rock Lobster Tail, Scotch Bonnet Beurre Blanc, Mashed Potatoes and Bitter Greens (Caloo) paired with a tasty Honeysuckle Daiquiri. In true Jamaican fashion, guests will indulge in Rum Cake or Warm Banana Cake with Crème Anglaise for dessert, paired with Hitting All The Notes.
