One of the best parts of summer has to be s’mores. Who can resist the combination of ooey gooey marshmallows and melted chocolate? While graham crackers are the norm to hold everything together, make these treats extra fun (and a little less sticky) by making them in a cone! All you need are your favourite ice cream cones, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
This is a great way to make a whole bunch of s’mores at one time and avoids having to use and clean up roasting sticks for the marshmallows. You can make these over a campfire or put them on the grill when you’re cooking dinner. You can even make them in an oven and enjoy them all year round.
While you only need three ingredients to make these the classic way, you can really add anything to the cones. Peanut butter cups, white chocolate chips, even leftover chocolate – anything will do. Adding some fruit like strawberries or raspberries would be great too. There are quite a few options when it comes to cones as well – sugar cones, waffle cones, cake cones – all would be delicious.
While you can make these ahead and just throw them on the grill when you’re ready to eat, these make a great interactive dessert. Have all your ingredients set out on a tray and let everyone fill up their cones to their liking.
