Experience a season of food trucks, night markets and festival fun

Get ready for an unforgettable summer in Calgary happening across the city filled with iconic street festivals and local night markets. Each event boasts an exciting lineup of live music and entertainment, local artisans, vendors and small businesses, and some of Calgary’s best restaurants, breweries and food trucks — offering something for all-ages to enjoy.

Kicking off the summer is the Inglewood Night Market Friday May 10th at 5pm to 6pm in the heart of Inglewood on 10th  Avenue and 11th  Street SE. The Inglewood Night Market is host to over 150 unique curated vendors with entertainment happening on 2 stages.

Next on the calendar is the 33rd annual Lilac FestivalThis FREE one-day celebration will be taking place on Sunday, June 2 from 10am to 6pm along 4th Street between 12th Avenue and Elbow Drive SW. The festival will also extend along 17th Avenue between 2nd and 5th streets occupying Central Memorial Park. All venues will be lined with live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, extended patios and fun for all ages. Come celebrate the cultural diversity of our community.

For those who crave a fun food adventure, Taste of Calgary is returning August 1st – August 5thTo satisfy demand, this year’s Taste of Calgary will take place at Calgary Parking Authority’s Lot #6. The entire lot will be gated and licensed and will hold almost double the capacity of last year’s event. Visitors can expect to indulge in sample-size menu items from Calgary’s most decorated and beloved restaurants, breweries and food trucks, set to the backdrop of live onsite entertainment with a rotating roster of local bands and musicians each day. Other exciting events taking place over the summer include a line-up of inner-city night markets, including the 4th Street Night Market and Marda Loop Night Marketalong with Inglewood Sunfest.
