Cherry Rosé Elderflower Sangria

A versatile drink, sangria is ideal as a casual afternoon sip on a sunny patio or as a sophisticated accompaniment to an elegant al fresco gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle rosé wine
  • 1/2 cup elderflower liqueur
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • club soda or sparkling water
  • fresh mint

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except club soda and mint in a large pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup, if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  • Serve in ice-filled glasses, top with club soda and garnish with fresh mint.
