Cranberry Lime Spritz Mocktail
We like to use 3 tablespoons of lime juice in this recipe. However more or less could be used depending on your taste buds. Feel free to experiment, too, like swapping out lemon for lime. Serve this mocktail in a beautiful glass to set the mood.
1 cocktail shaker
1 muddler
2 glasses
- fresh mint sprigs
- 1 cup cranberry juice (not the pure, sugar-free juice)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp simple syrup
- 3 tbsp lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tbsp Grenadine syrup
- ice
- 1 can or cup lime flavoured sparkling water
- fresh or frozen cranberries for garnish
Toss some mint leaves into a cocktail shaker and muddle lightly. Add cranberry juice through Grenadine, and half a cup of ice. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
Pour into glasses using strainer, top with a splash of sparkling water, cranberries and some fresh mint. Adding ice to the drink is optional.
Simple Syrup
We like to use a 1 to 1 ratio when making simple syrup. It’s an easy process and can be flavoured using fresh herbs, berries, citrus, spicy peppers or even spices. It will keep in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to a week and can also be used to sweeten tea or coffee.
1 cup white sugar
1 cup filtered water
Pour sugar and water into a small pot, stir to combine and bring to a boil. Drop heat down to a simmer, continuing to stir until all sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
