In a bowl, gently whisk together the eggs, red pepper, garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt and milk until well combined.
Add the cheese and mix with a fork.
Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish or deep plate for dipping the bread.
Heat oil in a pan on low heat until hot.
Dip the bread to absorb the egg mixture, then turn over with a spatula to dip the other side.
Using the spatula, transfer the bread to the pan and cook until golden brown, then turn and cook the other side.
Remove the French toast to a plate and keep warm — repeat for the remaining slices.
