Cultural & Fireworks Festival

EACH NIGHT GATES OPEN 6PM, CLOSE 915PM, WITH THE FIREWORKS PRESENTATION BEGINNING ~930PM

GlobalFest @ Elliston is an annual celebration of Calgary’s multi-cultural communities, featuring pavilions, performances, international food, children’s programming and fireworks. Illuminating the sky with a colliding orchestra of light and sound, this year’s 20th Anniversary celebration event will showcase presentations produced by world-class pyro musical artists hailing from India, Austria, France, and Germany, plus a Canadian-produced finale.

The presenting pyrotechnic teams for the International Fireworks Festival are:

• Thursday 18 August – 2021 Champion
• Saturday 20 August – Austria
• Tuesday 23 August – France
• Thursday 25 August – Germany
• Saturday 27 August – Finale

The OneWorld Festival sees the return of the cultural pavilions and two performance stages with live entertainment from our cultural association partners. Community activation spaces, the always popular night market and a delicious selection of international food booths and trucks complete your outdoor festival experience.

Children aged 5 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Park gates open 6pm, and close at 915pm for safety. Fireworks commence between 930pm and 10pm.

VIP Village

Enjoy the best view of the fireworks, with a view of the launch site directly across the lake. BYO picnic blanket or lawn chairs.

Light snacks in the GlobalFest hospitality tent on arrival (first come, first served) plus there is a fully licensed area with private cash bar and extended drink menu.

Reserved VIP Parking, located off-site with free shuttle bus taking you directly to the VIP Entrance Gate (there is no on-site parking at Elliston Park).

The VIP area opens at 7pm and is available to VIP ticket holders only.

VIP Parking Passes will be mailed out if ticket purchase is made prior to July 29. Any VIP ticket holder who purchases on or after July 30 will need to collect their pass from the GlobalFest office during regular business hours as we cannot guarantee on time Canada Post delivery.

Limited private hospitality tents are available for a minimum of 50 guests. Please contact the GlobalFest Office to discuss pricing options.

– Ticket prices do not include GST or booking fees.
– Children 5 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
– Quantities are strictly limited. Once the allocation is exhausted for any given ticket offer, it will automatically increase to the next price point.
– All sales are final, no rebates, refunds or exchanges.
– All dates are tentative. Fireworks will be postponed due to any conditions that organizers feel may jeopardize public safety. Upon postponement of a presentation, the event will be rescheduled, typically to the following evening, with tickets honored for the rescheduled date.
