Learn about the history and tradition in this ancient Japanese ceremony every Thursday at Nikka Yuko.

Our hosts and hostesses will be putting on a tea ceremony demonstration inside our tea pavilion at 2 & 4PM on Thrusday and 1130 am on Saturdays. Seating may be limited due to the space so come early!

Take in a tea ceremony demonstration with volunteer Sheila McHugh inside our tea pavilion! Sheila lived and trained in Japan for two years to learn how to do the tea ceremony’s many intricate steps and has performing it for 21 years.

Learn about the history of the Japanese tea ceremony and then watch as she walks guests through it. Volunteers may be allowed to join her to try a bowl of matcha and Japanese sweets.
