Monogram Coffee is partnering with Matthias Fong (former executive chef at the award winning River Cafe) to bring you Wonder + Warmth: a popup Valentine’s Day dining experience.
Wonder + Warmth represents the mixing of taking something comforting and familiar, and using it to spark your imagination and change your perception as to what it can be. Matthias will be celebrating Canadian cuisine and flavours by using exceptional and familiar ingredients sourced direct from producers across the country to create 5 beautiful courses that spark wonder and warmth. Alongside Matthias’ dishes will be a beverage pairing crafted and curated by Monogram’s Jill Hoff. Beverages will range from coffee inspired drinks, cocktails, and wine pairings, finished with a special freeze-distilled cappuccino we served at the World Barista Championships.
This will be an intimate dining experience at the downtown cafe, with 10 tables of dining pairs at each seating. Each dish will be introduced by Matthias himself – diners will get to hear the stories behind the ingredients and dishes, and then enjoy partaking together. A perfect Valentine’s Day dinner.
We’ll be hosting two seatings on February 14: 6:00pm and 8:30pm. Tickets are $135 per person, and includes appetizer and drink, 5 courses, 5 drink pairings, along with gratuity and GST. The tickets are sold in pairs!
Each dining time runs for about 2 hours (6pm – 8pm, and 8:30pm – 10:30pm).
