Ghost River Theatre will be hosting an unforgettable blindfolded wine tasting on Friday, November 4 from 7-10:30 p.m., expanding audiences’ sensory perception of some of the world’s most exceptional wines. Conceptually designed as a performance fundraiser for Ghost River Theatre, Artistic Director Eric Rose has created this evening to raise funds for the next season’s programming while providing the community with a fascinating wine encounter. This intimate wine tasting meshes live performance, immersive sound design and a specially designed tactile tasting mat that engages the audience’s sense of touch. Taking place at the Ranchmen’s Club (710 13 Avenue SW), tickets are available for purchase through the Ghost River Theatre website for $150. Tickets will include a welcome drink, an exquisite dinner prepared by the Ranchmen’s Club and an imaginative evening of sips, storytelling, and surprises.

“At Ghost River, we are thrilled to be at the Ranchmen’s Club for our first ever wine experience, to bring you a wine tasting unlike anything you have ever experienced,” says Eric Rose, Artistic Director Ghost River Theatre. “Whether you are wine curious or an aficionado, this event will take you on a sensorial adventure, leaving you as in love with wine as I am.”

The evening will be led by award-winning musician and performer Kenna Burima and expert sommelier Brad Royale from the much-loved Major Tom restaurant. Brad will be curating an assortment of delectable wines that will take guests through an alluring journey inside the glass. The evening will additionally feature a silent auction including exciting items and experiences from around the city of Calgary.
