Barley and Smoke: Raising funds for children with Cancer
What makes Barley & Smoke unique from other craft beer and BBQ festivals are the live, musical performances from talented, local artists. The event will be emceed by the legendary ROGER RHODES of Country 105.
Many Calgarians are excited and looking forward to in-person events again. What better way to enjoy
the summer than to come together with local breweries and restaurants to support a good cause.
Barley & Smoke is an event where local breweries and restaurants compete for titles, with 100 percent
of proceeds going towards Kids Cancer Care. Carlos Soares, President of Divine Flooring, shares his
inspiration and vision behind Barley & Smoke, “I learned only five per cent of all cancer research funding
in Canada goes towards children’s cancer research. I knew I had to do something as someone who’s
been through cancer myself, I can’t imagine watching your child go through it.”
The Event is happening on Sat, Aug 27, 2022 at Enmax Park. Tickets can be purchased at
Barley&Smoke.ca with general admission tickets being $95, which includes sample-sized portions from
all the craft beer and tapas style food stations along with live music, entertainment and games. A $200
VIP ticket offers all the features of a general admission ticket plus a private lounge and exclusive perks:
cocktails, concierge service, skip-the-line access to the food and beverage stations, swag bags and more.
There will be over 20 local breweries and restaurants competing including Pink Door Pizza, Rodney’s
Oyster House, Village Brewery Eighty-Eight Brewing Company and Bow River Brewing to name a few.
Some of the titles that restaurants and breweries are competing for include best ribs, hand-held, skewer
or food and beer pairing. As well, local singer-songwriter, J. J. Shiplett and Calgary-based band, Dueling
Piano kings will be performing to kick off a good time!
