Monogram Coffee

In this class you will learn how to take your brewing skills to the next level!! We’ll take a deep dive into extraction theory and learn how to diagnose and adjust your brews using taste cues and a refractometer. We’ll also cover the basics of water chemistry, and will compare coffees brewed with different types of water. Water makes up 98% of brewed filter coffee, so it’s important to understand how water affects your brew! To round out the class, we’ll introduce you to bypass brewing which opens up more methods to maximize and adjust flavour.

We recommend attending our Brewing Basics workshop as a pre-requisite to this class, otherwise, some fundamentals in brewing would be recommended. This class makes a great gift to friends or family, a great activity to do with others (think team building!), or to increase your own skills and knowledge.

To make your experience even more memorable, each participant will receive a free bag of coffee to take home. This carefully selected coffee will let you put to practice what you’ve learned in the comfort of your own home.

These hands on classes max out at 8 people a class, and there is a lot of time for questions and assistance.
