Throughout the month of April, Filipino restaurants in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver will offer prix fixe menus, allowing diners to explore the sweet, salty and sour flavours and distinctive aromas of this Filipino cuisine.

The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary and the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT), officially launched the event on March 20, 2023, jointly with the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, the Philippine Consulates General (PCG) in Toronto and Vancouver, the PDOT, and the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry.

“We hope to continue to inspire and spark the interest of the Canadian market in visiting the Philippines through tasting our food. The richness of our cuisine reflects the over 7,000 islands we have that are filled with endless fun and adventure,” said the Tourism Attaché of the Philippine Department of Tourism in San Francisco, Soleil Tropicales.

Last year during the first-ever FRMC, over 40 restaurants across Canada participated in the inaugural month-long event, resulting in over 1,000 orders of prix fixe meals.
