The Old Malt Cask range of independent bottlings was first launched in 1998 by a family-owned whisky firm Douglas Laing. The whiskies first started to appear in Alberta around the same time Andrew started working at KWM. They were some of the most interesting and exciting whiskies at the time. Brothers Fred and Stewart Laing, who inherited Douglas Laing from their father parted ways in 2013, and the Old Malt Cask range went with Stewart and his sons, to their new firm Hunter Laing. As with the 20th Anniversary, to mark its 25th, Hunter Laing bottled a number of single casks in retro (late 1990s packaging). You will sample through 8 single casks including whiskies from Benrinnes, Blair Athol, Caol Ila, Fettercairn, Incgower, Miltonduff, Speyburn, & Tomintoul.
