Village Ice Cream is thrilled to announce the launch of its very first “Dogs of Village” ice cream pint, a specially formulated dog-safe treat, hitting all five Village Ice Cream locations on July 20, 2024. This unique pint features 48 hand-illustrated Calgary-based dogs, selected from over 2,500 submissions received through an open call. The inaugural flavour, “Carrots and Cream,” is specially formulated to be safe and delicious for dogs, and funds from the pint sold will be donated directly to the Canadian Animal Task Force.
To celebrate the furry friends featured on the pint, Village Ice Cream is hosting a special doggie-friendly community event at the Victoria Park location on July 20, 2024, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
This free, family-friendly event is open to the public and will feature the following:
- Purchase new Doggie-friendly ice cream flavour “Carrots and Cream” available in pints and scoops, and exclusive Dogs of Village merch.
- A live DJ
- Dog Photo Station by Derp Dogs Studios
- Pup Parking Zone by Up Up Dog training
- Pet Pampering Station by The Petropolitan
- A mini makers market with the following dog-focused small businesses: Plume Pet Co., Nourished Pets, Mimi and Soso, Sunspot Paracord Creations, Ola Birch the Artist and Millie & Co.
- Non-profit pet vendors: Canadian Animal Task Force, PALS Calgary, CNIB Foundation and Parachutes for Pets Thrift Pop-up Shop
