A new rooftop restaurant is getting ready to open in downtown Calgary.
Perched on the 12th floor of the Element Hotel, Bow and Bend promises fresh local flavours, sweeping river views and a relaxed take on elevated dining.
With unmatched views, Bow & Bend is the city’s newest open-air dining experience
Bow & Bend Rooftop is a dining experience set to elevate the Calgary culinary scene this summer. Located on the 12th floor of the new Element Hotel Calgary Downtown on 4th Ave SW, the restaurant and bar offer a relaxed yet refined atmosphere with sweeping views of its namesake, the Bow River.
This exciting addition is part of the broader transformation of a previously underutilized office tower, now reimagined in partnership with the City of Calgary’s Downtown Development Incentive Program. Bow & Bend is set to be a key element in revitalizing Calgary’s West End, bringing renewed energy, hospitality and vibrancy to the downtown core.
Bow & Bend’s sleek design mixed with inviting textures in the details creates the feeling of both luxury and comfort. The open-air dining room or patio is the ideal place for sharing a meal with friends or family or dropping in for after-work cocktails and snacks. The restaurant’s bright space is an open-concept featuring large wall-to-wall windows. It seats 210 people between its dining room and patio, and two private Riverwalk rooms.
The menu at Bow & Bend has been carefully crafted using locally sourced ingredients from Alberta. For dinner, guests can expect a mix of small plates for sharing, soups and salads, burgers, house-made pasta, as well as main dishes. Head Chef Ashutosh Salunke brings his expertise from a previous role as Executive Sous Chef at the luxury Sparkling Hill Resort & Spa in Vernon, British Columbia.
The restaurant will be open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Brunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
