A Sweet Summer Celebration Returns
Calgary’s coolest summer tradition is back! From July 18 to August 17, YYC Ice Cream Fest invites Calgarians to indulge in over 30 unique frozen creations from local cafés, restaurants, and creameries – all while supporting a vital cause. Organized by Calgary Meals on Wheels, this annual festival combines community spirit, culinary creativity and charitable giving. For every featured treat sold, $1 to $3 is donated to Calgary Meals on Wheels, directly aiding in the provision of nutritious meals to those in need across the city.
Participants can sample a variety of innovative ice cream delights, including dairy-free options, and vote for their favorites in categories such as:
- Best Scoop
- Best Non-Dairy Scoop
- Golden Scoop (most items sold at a single location)
Calgarians can also get involved for a chance to win the 2025 Community Champion Award, recognizing individuals who passionately share their festival experiences on social media. Winners are honored on the festival’s website and receive a special prize.
