Dog Days of Summer

Village Ice Cream is thrilled to announce the launch of its very first “Dogs of Village” dog-friendly ice cream pint, a specially formulated dog-safe treat, available at all five Village Ice Cream locations on July 20. The specially created flavour “Carrots and Cream” is formulated to be safe and delicious for dogs. $1 from every pint and scoop sold in the month of August will go to the Canadian Animal Task Force https://cataskforce.org.

Inspired by Village Ice Cream’s “Dog Days of Summer” seasonal doggie scoop, this is the first ever dog-friendly ice cream pint featuring 48 hand-illustrated canines. Over 2,500 applicants responded to the open call for submissions.

To celebrate the furry friends featured on the pint, Village Ice Cream is hosting a special doggie-friendly community event at the Victoria Park location on July 20, 2024, from 11 AM to 4 PM.

This free, family-friendly event is open to the public and will feature a live DJ, Dog Photobooth by Derp Dogs Studios, Dog Photobooth by Derp Dogs Studios, Doggie Parking Zone by Up Up Dog and Pet Grooming Station by Metropolitan.

Non-profit pet vendors Canadian Animal Task Force, PALS Calgary and Parachutes for Pets Thrift Shop will be onsite, as well as a mini-makers market with the following dog-focused small businesses: Plume Pet Co., Nourished Pets, Mimi and Soso, Sunspot Paracord and Millie & Co.

CATF is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing care to companion animals to enhance community safety and animal well-being. The funds raised will go towards funding spay and neuter clinics throughout the Calgary community.
