Together for Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, the spirit of gratitude and giving is upon us and Blue Flame Kitchen is donating homemade Thanksgiving meals to the Radiance Society – an organization rooted in creating a brighter, violence-free future for women and children fleeing from domestic violence.
Food acts as a beacon of hope during challenging times, and in honour of what food symbolizes during the holidays and in support of our local community, BFK’s home-cooked meals are being dispersed to all those seeking refuge with Radiance this Thanksgiving. Up to 25 families can be housed at Radiance at a time.
Understanding the importance of food as a means of not only nourishing, but also healing and uniting, BFK and Radiance have partnered to offer the Feed It Forward cooking class. This team-building experience is offered all year round and allows participants and groups to prepare nutritious and delicious recipes that will be delivered to the women and children at Radiance.
