With sweeping views of the Bow River and glowing westward sunsets, this new lounge brings together local flavour, modern design and an easygoing summer vibe.

New Rooftop Bar and Lounge opens in downtown Calgary
Bow & Bend Rooftop is officially open in downtown Calgary’s west end serving up hand-crafted cocktails and local flavours with a view. The new bar and lounge, located on the top floor of the new Element hotel on 4th Ave and 8th Street SW, boasts a stunning view of the Bow River and is positioned westward towards classic Rocky Mountain sunsets. With ample indoor open-air seating and a patio with unobstructed views, Bow & Bend opens just in time for the summer season.
Bow & Bend Rooftop’s unique cocktail menu features hand-crafted beverages infused with spirits from local distilleries such as Eau Claire Distillery and Bridgeland Distillery. The food menu highlights a variety of shareables, salads, mains featuring Alberta beef, and house made burgers and pastas. Brunch will also be offered at Bow & Bend Rooftop later this summer.
Bow & Bend Rooftop has a spacious dining room, patio, and two private Riverwalk rooms. The bright dining room is picture-perfect from every angle, surrounded by large windows, earthy tones, modern finishes, with subtle nods to Calgary-style Canadiana woven into the decor. The Riverwalk rooms offer private dining and specialty event spaces with large windows and lush hanging plants.
Bow & Bend Rooftop is open seven days a week, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Starting later this summer, brunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
