Be part of this New Tradition and Join for a Summer Kickoff Party of Historic Proportions
Lougheed House Conservation Society, (707 13 Ave SW), has partnered with Burwood Distillery to create a limited-edition gin inspired by Beaulieu Gardens. Beaulieu Botanicals will give back to the community as well as highlight the stunning roses that surround this iconic landmark. To launch the gin, neighbours, friends and community are invited to attend the Summer Kickoff Party on May 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lougheed House. This ticketed event will benefit the Lougheed House Conservation Society in creating innovative exhibitions, accessible programs, and stewarding beauty in the Beltline. Guests will enjoy culinary delights by award-winning A Certain Flair Catering and be the first to sip on cocktails made with Beaulieu Botanicals Gin by Burwood Distillery that benefits the Lougheed House Conservation Society. Guests are invited to gather in the same drawing room and gardens that have hosted high society, royalty, and civic leaders for more than 130 years.
Burwood Distillery is a celebration of Alberta’s agriculture and a nod to the generations of distillers that came before. They combine a love for traditional distillation techniques and an old-world attention to detail to create masterful and delicious spirits. Utilizing inspiration from the prairies and some of the finest ingredients in the world, Burwood Distillery creates incredible products that represent the spirit of the province. They are also strong supporters of Alberta history, making this collaboration a perfect fit.
Beaulieu Botanicals presents the expected notes of juniper and coriander, typical of a London Dry Gin, enhanced by hints of citrus and lemongrass, creating a fresh and summery aroma. The inclusion of Szechuan peppercorns introduces a delightful spice and a tingling sensation, which is balanced by the smooth undertones of Dragon Well Green Tea, all coming together to create a velvety mouthfeel. To elevate this gin to a truly exceptional level, we’ve incorporated a magical blend of rose petals and rose hips, lovingly sourced from the gardens of Lougheed House. A portion of every bottle sold supports Lougheed House Conservation Society. This limited-edition gin will be available for purchase at the event and a few exclusive retailers in Calgary.
