Bow Tie Pizza is celebrating 10 years in Calgary with a citywide contest inviting pizza lovers to dream up a signature Calgary pie.
The winning creation will land on menus at all six locations, with a portion of sales supporting the Love for Lewiston Foundation.
A Decade of Bow Tie Pizza
Ten years. One City. Six locations. To mark its 10th anniversary, Bow Tie Pizza is throwing Calgary’s biggest pizza party and asking Calgarians to help create the city’s signature pizza flavour through its “Craft the Calgary Pie” contest. The celebration brings together local businesses, charities and friends of the brand.
The contest invites Calgarians to share the flavour, ingredients and nostalgic moments that remind them of YYC. The Bow Tie team will then turn those ideas into pizza recipes.
Calgarians can share their pizza inspirations on Instagram (@bowtiepizza) or through the contest page Bow Tie Pizza Contest until November 15.
The five strongest recipes will go through a tasting round with the Bow Tie Pizza’s founders. They will choose the winning pizza which will be crowned Calgary’s Signature Pie and be featured on the menus at all six locations for three months. The person or persons behind the winning idea will win a Bow Tie Pizza prize pack.
For every Calgary Signature Pie sold, $1 will be donated to the Love For Lewiston Foundation,, a movement that raises critical funds for the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Community and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Throughout the anniversary celebration, Bow Tie Pizza will donate pizza to charities across the city, including Pals Pets, Kidsport Calgary, Calgary Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta.
