Modern Steak brings Spain to Calgary with month-long Pop-up
Modern Steak Stephen Avenue (100 8 Ave S.E) is excited to take guests on a journey through Spain with Fuego Y Carne, a Spanish Steakhouse experience. Throughout October, guests will have the opportunity to choose between a five or eight-course Spanish-themed menu beautifully created by Chef Jose Lemus. The pop-up will operate Thursday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to close on the second floor of Modern Steak Stephen Avenue. The five-course menu is offered for $98 plus gratuity and GST with the option to add a wine pairing for an additional $39 and the eight-course menu is offered for $149 plus gratuity and GST with the optional wine pairing for $69. Reservations are required and can be made through the Modern Steak website.
The five-course menu includes Spanish classics such as pan con tomate, Tortilla Espanola, “Mary y Tierra” clams and chorizo, Striploin duo and a choice of sides, Patatas Bravas Style, Pimientos De Padrón or grilled asparagus, and for dessert, “leche frita” ( fried milk). The eight-course menu includes pan con tomate, tortilla Espanola, deep fried paella y red prawn, “Mary y Tierra” – clams & chorizo, chuleta de chancho ensaladilla rusa, striploin duo, Spanish cheeses and for dessert, crema Catalana.
