Mille Restaurant and Café is now open in Calgary’s Downtown West End

Mille Restaurant and Café is now open in Calgary’s Downtown West End. Located in the newly reimagined Plaza 1000 (1000 7 Ave SW), Mille brings a fresh take on Italian dining to the city’s core. The restaurant is the latest project from Jenna Bazzana, launching just one year after the closure of her previous venture, Sauce Italian Kitchen. Mille is a deeply personal return — built on family recipes, warm hospitality and Jenna’s enduring love of Italian food. The menu reflects the heart of Italian home cooking, inspired by the flavours of her upbringing and the comfort of her Nonna’s table. The space showcases a sleek, modern aesthetic with clean lines, refined textures and a minimalist elegance that reflects Mille’s contemporary approach to Italian dining.

With its refined menu, modern aesthetic, and commitment to genuine hospitality, Mille brings a fresh energy to Calgary’s Downtown West End. As Jenna Bazzana returns to the city’s culinary scene, Mille stands as a celebration of Italian tradition and the power of connection through food.

The opening of Mille also marks a meaningful step in the ongoing revitalization of Calgary’s Downtown West End — a neighbourhood experiencing renewed momentum through both public and private investment. This includes efforts like the 8th Street SW public realm improvements, numerous office-to-residential and hotel conversions, creative public activations and the soon-to-open University of Calgary School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape. It’s another sign of the renewed vibrancy reshaping Calgary’s Downtown West End.
