New owners Julia and Shane Rowse are putting their mark on this Okotoks roastery with bold flavours and a personal touch.
Their latest roast, a Costa Rican, is smooth, bright and turning heads across Alberta.

Julia and Shane Rowse have been putting their own spin on Rebel Bean Roasters ever since they took over the Okotoks-based biz in February 2024.
This year, they’ve released a Costa Rican coffee, La Pastora, a light to medium 100 per cent Arabica roast from — you guessed it — Costa Rica. “It has notes of toasted marshmallow, and peaches and cream,” Julia says.
“We try to keep everything as small-batch and fresh as possible.”
Personal, too. They deliver free to High River, Diamond Valley and Okotoks, and for a small delivery fee, they’ll also deliver to Calgary. It’s widely available across Alberta, including many coffee shops and select Safeway locations.
