While you can also find classics like soft serve and banana splits here, Inglewood Drive-In is the only place where you will find tangy Dole Whip. The drive-in is a staple in the Inglewood community and this frozen pineapple treat has quite the reputation!

Inspired by their love story, Immy and Fozia opened Love At First Scoop. They now have two locations: Carrington north west and Calgary Farmers Market West. They offer premium, old-fashioned, barrel-churned ice cream and sorbets served in handmade waffle cones.

New to the dessert scene is Monster Kakigori. Find them at Dragon City Mall right in Chinatown. While shaved ice is their specialty, the ice cream dish to try is the Mont Blanc Ice Cream Sando. It consists of ube (purple yam) and 3 scoops of ice cream (choice of matcha, black sesame and vanilla), all presented in a classic Japanese sweet bread called melon pan.

Serving Calgary since 1981, My Favourite Ice Cream Shoppe — in Marda Loop and West 85th Street — is a Calgary instution. Get a taste of nostalgia at their original location on 42nd Avenue SW with its retro décor and coin-operated horses. With over 70 flavours, it will definitely be hard to decide!

Moo’s Country Ice Cream

Moo’s Country Ice Cream is a little stand that is 500 feet east of the Peace Bridge. They are open from mid-April until the end of summer, 7 days a week. From soft serve to sundaes, ice cream cups and even ice cream with slush, they have you covered for hot days in the park.
