Get Cooking with the Canadian Beef Information Gateway
Canada Beef is pleased to announce a major update for its Canadian Beef Information Gateway (Gateway) platform. This handy online resource is full of science-backed, easily digestible information about all things beef, including expert cooking tips and recipes, nutritional information, proper preparation methods and so much more.
Notably, the Gateway’s capabilities go beyond online and directly into the grocery store with Canadians. Over the past year, Canada Beef has been working on an exciting scanning feature that allows consumers to scan the barcode on a beef package in more than 30 different retailers — representing most of the country’s major grocery stores — and be taken directly to an information page on the Gateway. From here, shoppers can learn more about that cut of beef, including recipes, videos, nutritional information, and prep tips.
Canada Beef is excited to unveil this new scanning functionality as it allows shoppers to directly access information about beef products in real time. They hope it will inspire them to try something new and take advantage of beef cuts that are available at lower prices from time-to-time.
