Culinary Conversations

Terroir Symposium, renowned for its dedication to celebrating the synergy between food, culture and community, is thrilled to announce Part II of its highly anticipated annual event. This fall, the symposium will unfold in Calgary, on November 2-3, bringing together a distinguished lineup of international chefs, engaging discussions and unforgettable culinary experiences.

A Día de los Muertos Celebration kicks off the Symposium with an evening of vibrant culture and culinary delights at the Opening Reception taking place on Saturday, November 2, from 5-7 pm at the Alt Hotel East Village. In honour of Day of the Dead (a vibrant Mexican celebration honoring deceased loved ones), the reception promises to be a lively festivity with traditional elements. Guests will have a chance to immerse themselves and learn about the rich cultural tradition while enjoying exquisite refreshments and delicious bites from Chef Elia Herrera (Milpa), Chef Erika Araujo, Chef Victor Hugo Raya (Super Amigos Mexican Street Food), Chef Jhonattan Lona, Fonda Fora and a special guest chef from Mexico City, Gabriel Osorno Rodriguez (Season 2 Winner, Top Chef Mexico).

A series of exclusive collaborative dinners featuring some of the world’s most celebrated chefs are happening throughout Calgary.

Tickets & Information Tickets for all events, including the Opening Reception and Collaborative Dinners, are available for purchase on the Terroir Symposium website. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this exceptional celebration of culinary artistry and cultural exchange taking place in the Hospitality House and John Ware Kitchen at SAIT School of Hospitality & Tourism.
