Mercato Mission Celebrates 20 Years of Culinary Excellence
Mercato Gourmet Restaurant, a beloved fixture on Calgary’s 4th Street SW, is excited to celebrate its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of serving the community with authentic Italian cuisine. Founded by the Caracciolo family, Mercato has become more than just a dining destination—it has evolved into a community hub, bringing people together over delicious food, a vibrant atmosphere and an enduring passion for Italian culture. Though “Mercato” means market in Italian, it has grown into so much more. It’s a place where memories are made, meals are shared and the heart of Italian family dining lives on in every dish.
To commemorate this milestone, Mercato invites its loyal patrons to share their stories about how the restaurant has touched their lives, whether it was a special celebration, a family tradition, or a first date. Throughout the months of January and February, one lucky winner will be selected each week for the best story shared and will receive a complimentary dinner for four at Mercato.
