Mount Pleasant Vintage in Calgary

One of Vancouver’s most talked-about neighbourhood bars is headed to Calgary.

Mount Pleasant Vintage plans to open in the Beltline this summer, bringing its unique mix of cocktails, live-fire cooking and vintage shopping to the city.

Mount Pleasant Vintage is coming to Calgary

Mount Pleasant Vintage is expanding. Construction begins this month with a target opening of June 2026. It will be the brand’s first location outside of Vancouver — and the full concept comes with it: the bar, the patio, and yes, the thrift shop. Calgary is a deliberate choice. Its hospitality scene has evolved into one of the most dynamic in the country, and the Beltline — walkable, neighbourhood-forward, genuinely alive — is exactly the kind of community this bar was built for.

Mount Pleasant Vintage is a neighbourhood cocktail bar and grill drenched in counterculture — dressed up, or rather dressed down — as a functioning vintage and resale thrift shop. The concept pays homage to founder Cam Bogue’s memories of throwing house parties in the ’90s, in parents’ homes designed in the ’70s. The design, the branding, the menu, the collateral: all conceived and executed in-house, with no agencies, no consultants, and no exterior design direction.

Classics cocktails are treated with obsessive care: fresh citrus in every margarita and daiquiri, custom vermouth blends in the martini, and house-made bitters run through a Toki highball machine for the bar’s signature Tiger Claw. Two rotating elevated slushies reflect the season. And for those drinking low or not at all, premium zero-proof versions of house cocktails and a thoughtfully ABV-diverse menu built around fortified wines, aperitifs, and digestives ensure the full experience is available to everyone at the table.

On the food side, Head Chef Sebastian Toro brings a Colombian-rooted mastery of live-fire cooking to a kitchen built around an ever-evolving menu where seasonal ingredients meet the primal directness of smoke — perfectly charred vegetables, delicately smoked meats, and unexpected flavour pairings that consistently over-deliver for a neighbourhood restaurant.

Construction has begun, with doors expected to open this summer.
