YYC Hot Chocolate Fest 2026

Calgary’s favourite winter tradition is back. YYC Hot Chocolate Fest returns this February, inviting Calgarians and visitors alike to sip, vote and support a great cause while exploring the most creative hot chocolate creations the city has to offer.

What began in 2011 as a small fundraiser for Calgary Meals on Wheels has grown into a city-wide celebration of community, creativity and compassion. In 2026, the festival reaches an exciting new milestone with over 264 participating locations, making this the largest YYC Hot Chocolate Fest to date.

This year also marks a major expansion beyond city limits, as YYC Hot Chocolate Fest takes over the Okotoks Hot Chocolate Festival, welcoming even more local businesses and inviting chocolate lovers to explore flavours across the region.

Throughout the month of February, participants can visit cafés, restaurants and businesses to try signature hot chocolate creations ranging from comfortingly classic to wildly imaginative. With each cup sold, $1-$3 is donated directly to Calgary Meals on Wheels, supporting programs that provide nutritious, affordable meals to Calgarians facing food insecurity.
