November is fondue month and what better way to celebrate than to get dipping. Chocolate fondue is one of the easiest fondues to make and it makes a great snack or dessert. You can use whichever chocolate you like, from dark to milk to semi-sweet. Nuts, no nuts – use what you love. You can also make fondue using your extra Halloween chocolates.

The best way to melt the chocolate is in a double boiler, with a glass bowl over a simmering pot of water. You can also make this in the microwave, being sure to microwave in intervals and giving it a stir in between.

The wonderful thing about chocolate fondue is that there are so many dipping options. Use your favourite fruit, like strawberries, bananas or pineapple. Chunks of cake or shortbread is heavenly. Pretzels or wafers are also fun!
