Tuck into Christmas delights from around the globe at the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market, presented by TELUS. From bitters, barbecue, and butterscotch to perogies, pancakes, and jerk-seasoned popcorn, this market is a food lover’s dream. Long-time favourites like Avatara Pizza (giant turkey legs), Arepa Boss (cheese tequeños) and French50 Bakery will return, this time with bubbling cheese fondue baguettes. There will also be loads of newer treats such as maple syrup aged in ex-spirit barrels, the highly Instagram-able chocolate-coated strawberries, and plenty of booze to sample. A new festive food + drink space in the historic Congress Hall will feature live entertainment and cozy seating — he perfect place to chill between browsing.
Fridays are the perfect choice for a more relaxed experience, and if you arrive after 6 p.m., you’ll be treated to the twinkle of holiday lights.
For a quieter stroll, consider coming 1–2 hours before closing, when the market feels especially cozy, less crowded too. Keep in mind that weekends from 2–5 p.m. are the busiest, as everyone flocks to soak in the festive spirit.
