WHO AND WHAT

Calgary’s first-ever hot dog festival, Dog Days, launches Saturday, May 23, 2026 with a dog- and hot dog-filled kickoff party on the Cold Garden patio. Calgarians are invited to Cold Garden from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate the official launch of the two-week festival with hot dogs, patio drinks and visits with the PALS pups.

Event highlights:

  • Festival vendor The Dogfather will be serving its official Dog Days feature: the Cheesy Pawrito Dog. For every Cheesy Pawrito Dog sold, $1 will be donated to the Pet Access League Society (PALS).
  • Cold Garden will also donate $1 from every pint of its award-winning Pool Party Blonde sold during the event to PALS.
  • Recognizable in their signature blue shirts and bandanas, PALS volunteers and ambassador dogs will be on site to meet guests throughout the event.

Dog Days runs from May 23 to June 6, 2026 at participating restaurants across Calgary and in surrounding areas. Festival-goers can visit participating restaurants and order Dog Days creations, with $1 from every festival hot dog sold donated directly to PALS.
