Golden Spiced Cabbage
A quick cabbage side dish seasoned with turmeric, coriander and chili for colour, warmth and a gentle kick. Serve alongside grilled meats, curries or rice, or tuck it into warm bread with butter.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tsp neutral oil
- 400 g cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder (add more for extra spice)
- 1/2 tsp coriander
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the mustard seeds and let them sizzle until they pop, and you can smell their aroma, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn them.
- Add the cabbage, salt, turmeric, red chili powder and coriander powder. Stir-fry until the cabbage is just tender with a slight crunch and the spices are cooked through, about 3–4 minutes.
- Remove to a bowl or serving dish. Serve hot or cold.
