Situated in what was once Divino Wine & Cheese Bistro in the Calgary Herald Block, FinePrint opened last fall by Brad Taylor, Grant Kosowan and Carlo Lucente of Beltline Hospitality Group. “The history of the space was very important to us from day one,” says Taylor. “We knew we wanted to honour the historic nature of this building and pay homage to what was here before, while still creating enough separation so that it feels new.” The original bar has been transformed into a sleek, glamorous space and the redesigned open kitchen features a Josper charcoal oven. Executive Chef Francis Martinez executes the menu initially created by chef Xavier LaCaze, while evolving it and implementing his own east-coast flair. A new addition to the space is the Champagne sanctuary and lounge downstairs on your way to the washrooms featuring a Moet vending machine accessed by tokens purchased from the team upstairs.
