Father’s Day events in Calgary
This year, there is no shortage of places in Calgary to take your dad for his annual celebration. Book early to avoid disappointment.
The Banquet
Mahogany, University District
The Banquet is having a BBQ Tower Dinner on June 18th at 6pm. The “tower” includes pork belly, smoked bacon wrapped jalapeños, kettle chips, corn bread, warm potato salad, smoked chicken wings, corn on the cob, coleslaw and St. Louis ribs. Tickets are $99.99 per tower, for two people.
Aspen Crossing

Jump on the BBQ Train at Aspen Crossing. Enjoy a three course BBQ dinner and train robbery on June 18th at 11am.
Shoe & Canoe Public House

Enjoy BBQ and Beers on the patio on June 18th from noon to 3pm. Pork ribs with Stargazer BBQ sauce and Korean BBQ chicken will be served off the grill. Sides include bacon jalapeño mac & cheese, cheddar biscuit, Mumbai grilled corn, bacon scalloped potatoes, garlic chili broccolini, creamy slaw and romaine and arugula Caesar salad. Your meal will end on a sweet note with Saskatoon berry cornmeal skillet cake. There will be local craft beer and distillery vendors, with two complimentary pints, and every father receives a “Stargazer” Beer Stein to take home. On top of that there will be live music and patio games that include mini putt, corn hole and ladder golf. Tickets are $59.
Calgary Zoo

There are three sittings for brunch in the Safari Lodge on June 18th at the Calgary Zoo: 9am to 11am, 11:30am to 1:30pm and 2pm to 4pm. Day admission is included with your combo ticket so you can fill your belly and then spend the afternoon roaming the zoo. An omelette station along with carved selections like pork back ribs, house-smoked brisket and Bowden Farms chicken are being offered. There will also be buffet favourites like waffles, shrimp cocktail, devilled eggs, eggs bennies and sushi.
Adults $54.95, Seniors $49.95, Children (3-15) $34.95, and Infants are free.
Flores and Pine

Grill, chill and celebrate with a BBQ Brunch at Flores and Pine from 10:30am to 4pm. Their brunch will include whole roasted pig, baby back ribs and prime grade beef served on their spacious patio. Sides include baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad. Cost is $65 for adults, and $25 for kids 12 and under.
Heritage Park

Antique cars and a delicious brunch at Gasoline Alley is on the menu at Heritage Park for Father’s Day. There are 6 sittings on June 18th – 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Their brunch menu includes Maple Brown Sugar Glazed Ham, pancakes and waffles, eggs, sausages, a seafood platter and charcuterie. Treats from the bakery will be available. Prices are adults $39.95, $25.95 for kids age 3-15.
Vero Bistro

Dad will be hthrilled with a Surf and Turf Platter from Vero Bistro. The platter for 2 is $149 and includes a grilled Black Angus New York Steak with chimichurri butter, herb crusted lamb chops, butter poached lobster tail, house made tortellini, coconut prawns, truffle parmesan frites, roasted vegetables and insalata mista.
Craft Beer Market
Downtown, Southcentre
Craft Beer Market is having their Props to Pops Brunch Buffet from 10am to 3pm. Fruit and pastries, salads, chicken and waffles along with an omelette station and dessert bar are just some of the items that are being offered. Adults are $34.95 and kids 12 and under are $14.95.
Granary Road

Mini Golf and BBQ make a great combination and you can enjoy both at Granary Road on June 18th. The mini-golf tournament will be followed by a BBQ lunch catered by Homestead Bakery and Café. $25.95 will get you a burger, beverage, park admission and mini golf.
