Hot Chocolate Winners Unveiled
After a month-long celebration of all things chocolate, YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is thrilled to announce the winners of its 14th year. From February 1st to February 29th, Calgarians embraced the winter chill with cups of steaming cocoa, supporting local businesses and community initiatives one sip at a time.
With over 100 vendors and just shy of 200 participating cafés, restaurants and chocolatiers, YYC Hot Chocolate Fest lived up to its reputation as Calgary’s sweetest festival. Attendees embarked on a flavorful journey, savoring unique blends and casting their votes for the coveted titles of YYC’s Best Hot Chocolate, Best Spirited Hot Chocolate, Most Creative Hot Chocolate and the special Cup That Runneth Over award.
The winners of YYC Hot Chocolate Fest 2024 are as follows:
- YYC’s Best Hot Chocolate: Tsuut’ina Sage Tlikonituwa from Little Chief Restaurant
- Best Spirited Hot Chocolate: Tops Gimme S’moreZZA Artisan Hot Cacao from Tops Pizza South
- Most Creative Hot Chocolate: Bon Voyage from Telus Spark
- Cup That Runneth Over Award: Ginger Molasses Spice Delight from Hexagon Café
But the sweetness doesn’t end there. A portion of the proceeds from each cup sold during YYC Hot Chocolate Fest will benefit Calgary Meals on Wheels, underscoring the event’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the community. This year, YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is projecting to raise more than $130,000 for Calgary Meals on Wheels, exemplifying the power of combining indulgence with philanthropy.
