When Deep Sangha and Harjot Sangha decided to bring HEAL to Calgary, they saw an opportunity the city was ready for: a fast-casual café built around real fruit and superfoods.
The Sanghas became the first franchise partners to bring the Hamilton-born brand into western Canada. Drawing on more than a decade of operating restaurants across B.C. and Alberta, they’ve quickly scaled to six Calgary locations: Mount Royal, Aspen Landing, Alberta Block, University District, Kensington and Bridgeland. “Calgary has embraced HEAL from day one,” says Harjot, who leads Calgary operations. “We’ve become a go-to spot for students, families and the fitness community.” Customer favourites include the OG Acai Bowl, Mango Bowl, Nutella Acai Bowl and smoothies like Salted Almond Butter Cup. Everything is customizable with toppings like fresh fruit, granola and protein boosters. A seventh location in Britannia is on the way. Watch for new seasonal bowls, upgraded protein smoothies and enhanced topping options.
