Charming Squares

Lucky Charms cereal folded into melted marshmallows and butter creates a colourful twist on classic cereal squares, pressed into a pan and cut into soft, chewy bars.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • 250 g mini marshmallows (white)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 1/2 cups Lucky Charms cereal
  • 1 tsp oil (to coat fingers)

Instructions

  • Line a 9”×13” baking dish with parchment paper.`
  • On medium-low heat, melt the butter in a pan.
  • Add the marshmallows and stir until fully melted. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Remove the pan from the heat, then fold in the Lucky Charms cereal until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to the parchment lined dish and gently press it down to flatten. Tip: Lightly coat your fingers with a neutral oil to prevent sticking.
  • Cool completely (around 1 hour and 30 minutes) then cut into desired pieces.
