Gabe Palotas is The Hungarian Guy — “This is how people know me,” he says. He started helping his father make sausages when he was three years old in (you guessed it) Hungary. Then, as an adult, he travelled across Europe before moving to Canada and settling in Cochrane. In addition to the butcher shop, they make a variety of dishes, including paprikash, goulash, sausages, cabbage rolls, stew, dumplings and, of course, this pepper spread.
