They own Gemstone Grass Fed Beef, a fourth-generation cattle ranch located near Gem, Alberta, about 150 kilometres east of Calgary near Bassano. All of their cattle are raised without antibiotics or added hormones. The family began selling beef and ready-made meals at the Calgary Farmers’ Market West in 2022 and they have an online shop where you’ll find everything from burgers to organ meats and sides of beef.
