Fire and Flora

Chef Adam Ryan has set his passion for creative vegan cuisine on fire with his latest outing, Fire and Flora in The District at Beltline. From the moment you enter to a living mushroom wall, you know you’re in for a unique culinary experience. The menu is focused on shareable small plates, though there are entrée-sized meals as well. Almost completely plant-based (there is the occasional dairy/egg ingredient), Chef Adam’s menu celebrates the flavours, colours and textures of the plant kingdom in all its glory. While everything was great, we really (and I mean REALLY) loved the zucchini carrot fritters that were a delight in and of themselves, but the tomato confit basil aioli they’re served with made us want to lick the plate. One of the best things we’ve tasted so far this year. Also don’t miss the crispy buttermilk fried flowering cauliflower, which has enough kick to make things interesting without going overboard. Open for lunch and dinner 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
