While living in Grande Prairie, Ishpreet Kalra was working at a gas station and Rajat Kumar was the head chef at Wing’n it, a wings plus more eatery. The friends liked the business so much they decided to become partners, buy a franchise, and open in the community of Kensington in Calgary.
“We looked at a lot of spaces in Calgary and decided on Kensington as there is a lot of foot traffic and local support for great food and drinks,” says Ishpreet. Rajat adds, “We want to be a part of the fabric of Kensington and Hillhurst/Sunnyside.”
There are over 100 flavours of wings to choose from, a hot wing challenge that requires a waiver, and a menu with a Top Gun feel. Wing’n it restaurant offers a variety of chicken wings in both boneless and bone-in. Flavours include traditional hot wings, honey BBQ wings, teriyaki wings, garlic wings, and more. The menu also offers a selection of options including flatbreads, burgers, poutines and nachos.
