Burwood Distillery and Lougheed House gin

Historic gardens offer more than beautiful blooms — they preserve stories that continue to evolve.

A new limited-edition gin from Lougheed House and Burwood Distillery brings those botanicals to the bottle with a distinctly local connection.

Burwood Distillery

For generations, the roses at Beaulieu Gardens have been part of the story at Lougheed House. Now, those same blooms are finding their way into a limited-edition gin created with Burwood Distillery, a collaboration rooted as much in Calgary history and community connection as it is in botanicals and cocktails. Beaulieu Botanicals gin uses rose petals and rose hips grown at the historic property alongside juniper, citrus, green tea and Sichuan peppercorns. The partnership itself grew from a long-standing friendship between former Lougheed House head gardener Jane Reksten and Burwood Distillery owner Jordan Ramer, whose paths first crossed while encouraging collaboration between horticulture and brewing students at Olds College. There are only 300 bottles available of this limited-edition gin. A portion of every bottle sold supports Lougheed House Conservation Society programs, helping preserve the historic landmark while continuing its long tradition of bringing Calgarians together.
