A new Italian restaurant has blossomed in the former site of Franca’s in the hopping Greenview Industrial area. Husband-and-wife team John Bannister and Jennifer Drew-Bannister team up with Chef Dylan Sexton (Modern Steak, Porch) to create Petalo. With a background in health and nutrition, Jennifer says she’s committed to fresh, quality ingredients brought to life with Sexton’s passion, skill and experience. The team says contrast and balance are at the heart of the restaurant’s philosophy as old recipes meet new techniques, rich fabrics and lush colours meet homey dishware and a longtime favourite location gets a fresh new start. We loved the arancini and can’t wait to explore the wine list.
