Olea has entered a new chapter under Chef Ryan Blackwell. The culinary director and managing partner has reimagined the restaurant as an intimate Mediterranean-inspired dining destination. Drawing on more than two decades in Calgary’s and British Columbia’s best-known kitchens, Blackwell has created the kind of neighbourhood restaurant where guests come for a glass of wine and stay for dinner. A rotating wine cart replaces the traditional wine-by-the-glass list, complementing a seasonal menu inspired by Italy, France and Spain.
