Normally known for their dine-in neighbourhood vibe with seasonal dishes like marinated beet hummus or grilled sourdough with cashew cheese, Donna Mac had to think fast in order to streamline their menu to adapt to a new way of serving the public. Their goal: to provide high-quality, fair-priced, travel-friendly food that satisfied current comfort food cravings.
And they succeeded. Choose from popular items like their Fried Chicken Sandwich, a crispy, buttermilk-brined chicken burger topped with iceberg lettuce, pickles, gochujang and mayo, served on a toasted brioche bun. Or try the Mac Burger, a double-patty cheese burger with smoked Dijon aioli. Pair it with their Brussel Caesar salad, made with their signature cashew Caesar dressing, hazelnuts and pecorino.
Of course, we can’t forget the “queen of the menu,” their lemon-filled sour-doughnut, a donut made with sourdough starter, stuffed with lemon curd and rolled in cinnamon sugar.
