A delightful, simple syrup infused with dried hibiscus petals becomes a delicious sweetener. A simple syrup is typically made with 1 part water to 1 part sugar. Once you start making simple syrup you can try different sugars like demerara sugar and infusing with a variety of herbs and spices.
Add this syrup to your favourite cocktail like the Hibiscus Gin Sour or stir a few spoonfuls into sparkling water, lemonade, ice tea or whiz into a salad dressing.
