This Thanksgiving, don’t spend the whole day cooking. Spend time with family and friends and enjoy a meal cooked meal by someone else, either at a restaurant or as a take out option at home.
DINE IN OPTIONS
Enjoy a 3 course dinner at Cravings for $42.95. There are two meals available – Roasted Turkey or Baked Ham. Each meal comes with a choice of soup or salad to start and apple strudel or pumpkin pie for dessert. This is also available for take out.
Enjoy a Harvest Dinner at the Calgary Zoo. Spend the day wandering and exploring the zoo and end with a four-course turkey dinner. Guests are welcome to enjoy the zoo starting at 2 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. in the Safari Lodge. Dinner includes ciabatta buns with herb butter, squash soup with lentils, an artisan salad along with either Alberta-raised turkey with cranberry sauce, stuffing, veggies, and potatoes OR roasted cauliflower steak with chimichurri. End on a sweet note with spiced pumpkin carrot cake. $48.95 for adults, $45.95 for seniors, $29.95 for children 3-15. A takeaway option is also available.
Enjoy brunch or dinner at Flores and Pine. Brunch includes prime rib, turkey, lobster mac and cheese, stuffing, and all the fixings for $65 per person. Family Thanksgiving Dinner is being offered at $95 per person which includes turkey, prime rib, pan-seared salmon as main with Caesar salad, butternut squash soup, and pumpkin cheesecake dessert.
Heritage Park – Wainwright Hotel
Enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at either the Wainwright Hotel or The Selkirk at Heritage Park for Thanksgiving. From October 7 – 9 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., you can have Thanksgiving dinner on a first come first served basis for $29.95 per adult or $16.95 for kids 12 and under. Dinner includes butternut squash soup, oven-roasted turkey dinner with the fixings, and pumpkin pie with fresh cream.
Heritage Park – The Selkirk
The Selkirk dinner is on October 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $49.00. Dinner includes a garden salad or butternut squash soup, bourbon roasted free range turkey breast and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.
The Mohave Grill at the Deerfoot Inn will be open for both brunch and dinner on October 8th. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes eggs benedict, omelets made to order, a waffle station, a seafood table along with turkey and ham, and a table full of dessert. Brunch is $49.95 per adult, $39.95 for seniors and $29.95 for kids.
Head on over for a 3-course dinner from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Dinner includes risotto or salad to start, roasted turkey strudel or slow-roasted prime rib for dinner, and tart tatin or pumpkin pie for dessert. Dinner is $43.95 per person.
Skip the cooking with their Takeout Thanksgiving dinner. Dinner includes turkey, stuffing with italian sausage, insalata mista, bruschetta, mashed potatoes, honey glaze carrots, buttered corn, gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Turkey dinner is $195 or substitute the prime rib for $225.
Relish in Sunterra Market Thanksgiving feasts for pickup or delivery. All meals come with a Brussels Sprout and Kale salad, Sweet Potato and Leek soup and Pumpkin Apple Pie for dessert. Choose your entree with all the fixings – herb-rubbed turkey, orange mustard glazed Sunterra Meats ham, rotisserie prime rib or roasted cauliflower steak. Prices range from $28.99 to $35.99 per person.
TAKE OUT OPTIONS
The Vin Room has a Thanksgiving Dinner for 2 at home for $75. Dinner includes Herb roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, onion, and sage stuffing, Brussels sprouts with maple drizzle, house-made gravy, and sticky toffee pudding. Pickup October 6-9.
One 18 has dinner to feed the crowd! Choose from a 14lb turkey that feeds 6-8 guests or a 22lb turkey for 12-14 guests. Dinner includes rolls, roasted squash velouté, One18 salad, crème fraiche whipped potatoes, thyme and apple stuffing, cranberry compote, gravy, squash, carrots, Brussels sprouts, and toffee pudding for dessert. Dinner for 6-8 people is $395 for 6-8; and for 10-14 it’s $580.
The Calgary Zoo is offering a Takeaway Harvest Dinner. Order turkey to go from the Hawthorn Dining Room. The meal comes with turkey (2 sizes available), sourdough bread and butter, baby green and frisée salad with a citrus vinaigrette, cranberry sauce, sage pan gravy, garlic roasted potatoes, honey roasted vegetables, sage and onion stuffing and a pumpkin pie tart. You can order a medium 5-6 kg turkey for $425 which serves 8 or a large 10-12kg turkey for $625 which serves 15.
